Nathalie Desserme lives in Paris where she works as a freelance photographer. Her documentary projects mostly consisting of landscapes and still lifes are devoted to the memory of popular neighborhoods on the verge of extinction or already disappeared. She also carries out commissions for both the French press and communication agencies. Till 2008, she was part of Tangophoto, a group of photographers with whom she participated in many festivals like the Festival de la Luz in Buenos Aires in 2003, the Guangzhou Photo Biennial in 2005, the Rencontres Internationales de Photographie d'Arles 2003, 2005, 2007.
